IC1283 is a round reddish nebula with a diameter of about 20 arc minutes just south of the Star Cloud in Sagittarius, around M24. Although we can hardly recognize the nebula with our naked eyes, only photographs can show us it as a reddish figure. The nebula is lying about 5800 light-years away from the solar system. Two tiny reflection nebulae just southwest of IC1283 are NGC6589 in upper and NGC6590 in lower, respectively.
