Supergalactic ClusterCorona Supergalactic cluster
It's a very deep sky object of galactic cluster hidden in western Corona Borealis. Several indistinct light spots in center of this picture are individual member galaxies. It's recognized about 100 galaxies are included in span of 10 arc minutes. The cluster is about 860 million light years away and has a visual brightness of 15th magnitude.
By clicking on the button in the upper right corner of the page, you can switch to an image that has removed stars within the Milky Way galaxy. All light spots in the image are galaxies belonged to the Coma Cluster. An angular scale of 5 arc minutes is equivalent to about 1.25 millions light years in real length.
