This is a close-up image capturing the central region of the Coma Cluster of galaxies. It shows many small elliptical galaxies distributed around two giant elliptical galaxies, NGC 4874 and NGC 4889. By clicking on the "Inner Galactic stars ON/OFF" button in the top right corner of this page, you can toggle between an image with stars in our galaxy removed and the original image. The scale of 5 arcminutes in this image corresponds to approximately 450,000 light-years in actual length.

Legend for celestial object names: 4-digit numbers represent NGC numbers, numbers starting with 'I' represent IC numbers, numbers starting with 'P' represent PGC numbers, and numbers starting with 'C' represent CGCG numbers.
