This image captures the small planetary nebula Abell 53, located within the Milky Way in the western part of Aquila. It can be found by tracing 5.7 degrees northwest of the δAql. The nebula has a beautiful red ring structure with an apparent diameter of 30 arc seconds. The central star is extremely faint at 21st magnitude and cannot be seen in this image.
