Abell 24 is a medium-scaled planetary nebula positioned at a bit smaller than 4 degrees southeast from the Procyon in Canis Minor. The nebula has a visual diameter of about 6 arc minutes, we can capture the figure comparatively easily only with small-ranged telescopes. The nebula is emitting the clear reddish light from the activated hydrogen gas, looks like a simple round shape but a bit condensed regions can be seen in east and west parts.
