This page shows you the observed images of Saturn in the season of 2022.
This season, Saturn is located in the eastern part of Aquarius and will be in opposition on September 9, making it visible at the southern midheaven in autumn. Saturn's central latitude is below +5 degrees, and as we approach the disappearance of Saturn's rings in 2025, the rings appear increasingly thinner. Due to the change in the direction of sunlight before and after opposition, variations in the appearance of the rings can be observed in this year.
