The crator of Gassendi with 110km in diameter is positioned at northern edge of Hunorum, MARE. The crator has a characteristic features of evolved valleys, ones running from central peaks and others crossing with them. The southern rim of crator is fairly low, part of lava of Hunorum, MARE has invaded in it.
