This page shows you the observed images of Mars in the season of 2018.
In this season, the Mars has its great closest approach to the Earth on Jul 31 in last 15 years with a distance of about 57.6 millions km. The red planet has positioned in lower southern skies, around Capricornus with the brightest magnitude of -2.8.
In late Jun 2018, the large-scaled sand storm has occurred covering almost whole of the mars. Now we can hardly detect the features on surface of the planet.
