This picture shows you the dimmed autumnal Milky Way crossing sky captured with a whole-sky camera. You can see the faint zodiacal light extending in the southern sky. In addition, a faint beam of "Counterglow" with a diameter of about 20 degrees can be seen almost due south.
Dust distributed in the solar system scatters the sunlight, and the backscattered light is stronger than other angles, so the area directly opposite the sun appears brighter. Because it is fainter than the Milky Way or the zodiacal light, it can be seen in the extremely clear night sky without light pollution.
