Before dawn on Oct 16 1997, the Saturnian Occultation was observed at Japan for the first time in 23 years. The Saturn should vanish into the edge of the Moon at 3:41 JST, but unfortunately clouded just 4 minutes before the time.
This image presents the approach of the Moon to Saturn by the sequence of time.
