This image is a composite of meteor photographs taken on the night before the peak of the Perseid meteor shower in 2024. Despite unfavorable weather conditions on the following peak day, a meteor shower was observed at a rate of approximately a meteor per 5 minutes on that night.
The brightest meteor seen near the radiant point at the lower center of the image is a -1st magnitude bolide that appeared around 27:00. A faint meteor train was detected for about 2 minutes.
