This page shows you the comet Holmes o last day of the year 2007. The comet has a visual size of over 67 arc minutes but the brightness has been dimmer, about 4th or 5th magnitude. And in that day I could observe another bright comet of 8P/Tuttle in Triangulum with 6th magnitude in brightness.
