These images show you the comet 17P/Holmes two days later from its sudden drastic outburst. The comet has been positioned in east of alpha Persei, keeps its visual brightness of about 2nd magnitude or so. The coma, having a whitish round gaseous region with a diameter of 5 arc minutes, is surrounding the bright nucleus, and the southwest region looks brighter. Furthermore we can see a dimmed greenish ionized region with a diameter of about 10 arc minutes is surrounding the white coma. Although it was a Moonlit night in that night, I could observe the detailed anomalous outburst phenomenon of comet.
