On this day, comet 2025T1 ATLAS was located in the western evening sky, about 5 degrees southwest of Vega in the constellation Lyra. A greenish coma of 9th magnitude, with no prominent tail, was observed-considerably brighter than predicted. The comet is now near its maximum brightness and is expected to fade rapidly from here on.
