The comet 2021A1 Leonard in the end of Nov 2021 has positioned on the border between Canes Venatici and Coma Berenices, approx. 7 degrees south of Cor Caroli. In spite of a moonlit night with the last quarter, I could observe an 8th magnitude coma and a nearly 1 degree-long dust tail clearly. This set of two images also shows you the change of dust tail during 24 hours. The comet Leonard will brighten up to 4th magnitude in the middle of Dec 2021.
  View angle: 0.52×0.70°
