Optical: VIXEN 20cm(7.9") VISAC with a conversion lens (f=1278mm, F6.4)
with BaaderPlanetarium Moon&Skyglow filter
Auto-guided with TAKAHASHI EM-200 Equatorial
Digital Camera: Canon EOS 600D (Remodeled)
Location: Hitachi-oota city, Ibaraki pref.

Camera Settings: Recording format...14bit CCD-RAW, converted to 16bit TIFF(5184×3456)
Sensitivity...ISO3200


The comet 2013X1 PanSTARRS in that day for my first observation has positioned at about 6 degrees southwest of alpha Persei in higher skies before the midnight with a coma brightness of 10th magnitude. The comet has a farther heliocentric distance of about 2.5 au, no evolved tails can be observed yet. The comet will approach to the sun and earth gradually from now on, it's predicted that the coma and tails will be brightened and evolved towards the middle of 2016.
