The comet 2009R1 McNaught in that day has been positioned at 2.7 degrees southeast of beta And. I could detect a brightened 7th magnitude coma and V-shaped dust and ion tails stretched in west direction with length of about 10 arc minutes in spite of bad condition of Moonlit skies of Moonage 19.
And in this day the comet closed to a galaxy of M33 in Triangulum about 4 degrees apart.
