On this day, the comet Pons-Brooks was located at the northern edge of the Hercules, approximately 3.3 degrees SSW of beta Draconis at the constellation's head. I could detect a dimmed coma with a visible diameter of about 10 arcminutes. It appeared slightly fainter compared to the previous observation, and the total brightness of the coma is estimated to be around 12th to 13th magnitudes. The effects of the July 2023 outburst have subsided, and it is currently slowly diminishing in brightness, but it is expected to brighten once again starting in the autumn of 2023.
This image has been cropped with an equivalent focal length of 1000mm.
