This star-trail image shows you the sinking Mars toward western horizon captured in year-end of 2003. In the year of 2003, it was a big topic of sky events the Mars approached the Earth in that summer. The Mars in that day has a visual brightness of about 0th magnitude. The red planet was still glittering striking light, but the planet was very gloomy camparing with that in summer.
