We could observe the rendez-vous of Venus and Jupiter in dawn skies near the Pleiades (M45) in Jun to Jul 2012.
The bright stars in upper and lower are the Jupiter and Venus, respectively, you can see the Venus of first image is glittering in the Hyades.
And about two weeks later, the dawn moon has been positioned just side of the Venus.
The moon hid the Jupiter (Jupiter occultation) in midday sky about a half day before the second image were taken,
but unfortunately I could not capture the sky event because of cloudy weather condition.
