In evening of May 16, 2010, we could appreciate the Rendez-vous of the Crescent Moon and Venus with about 0.5 degrees apart. It was impressive sky show in the gradation of western dusk skies.
Although two objects set in west horizon with their distance closing slightly viewed at Japan, the venus occultation was observed in the Southeast Asia vicinity.
