NGC7606 is a small spiral galaxy positioned at about 3 degrees SSE of phi Aqr. The galaxy looks elliptical with a long axis of 6 arc minutes, large telescopes can detect indistinct spiral structures. The distance from us has been estimated about 100 millions light years.
