This image captures small galaxies scattered around the westernmost point of Pisces. NGC7396 is located 6.6 degrees WSW of γPsc. It is a spindle-shaped spiral galaxy with a major axis of 3.2 arc minutes and a magnitude of 13. You can see that an indistinct dark lane runs in the east-west direction. The distance to NGC7396 has been estimated at 228 million light years. Smaller galaxies such as NGC7397 and NGC7398 can be seen in the immediate east.
