NGC488 is a spiral galaxy lying around the southern region of Pisces. We can find out it at about 2 degrees southwest of mu Psc. The galaxy has a medium-scaled size of a bit larger than 6 arc minutes in diameter. Although the galaxy looks like an elliptic, but as this image can show you, has a dimmed spiral structures with some arms wound tightly. The distance is about 90 million light years.
