NGC1073 is a barred spiral galaxy with a size of less than 5 arc minutes lying at 1.8 degrees south of γ Ceti. It is thought to be one of the Seyfert galaxies with an active nucleus, and its two arms are disordered and spread out in the outer periphery. It forms a galaxy group with surrounding member galaxies and is estimated to be 55 million light years away.
