A small group of galaxies hidden 1.5 degrees north of βPersei (Algol). IC284 is the blurred spiral galaxy at the bottom of the image, and IC1186 is visible 30 minutes north of it. These galaxies are located at a distance of 120 million light years and form the same group of galaxies.
A small edge-on galaxy visible 18 minutes west of IC284 is NGC1175. It is located more than twice as far away as the above two galaxies, and is not related to the galaxy group.
