This is a wide-angle image covering 16.7×11.2° around the diffuse nebula IC1396 in the constellation Cepheus. To the northwest of IC1396 lies the red Hα emission nebula Sh2-129, and to the east is Sh2-132. Although the autumn Milky Way in this region appears faint, various dark nebulae of different sizes and shapes are scattered throughout, and their hazy forms can be captured even with a wide-angle lens. Among them, the dense and prominent B171, located about 20 arcminutes east of IC1396, and B160, which spans 30×15 arcminutes in the southern part of IC1396, particularly stand out.
