A compact galaxy group in central region of Caricornus has a name of Hickson's Compact Group (HCG) 87. Four minor galaxies with various shapes are gathering tightly. The major one of HCG87A has a long axis of about 1.6 arc minutes and 15th magnitude in brightness. The group is about 400 millions light years away from our Galaxy, and it's estimated about 170 thousands light years in real span.
