This image captures Hickson Compact Group 7 (HCG 7), a dense galaxy group located near the border with Pisces, about 11 degrees northeast of ι Ceti at the westernmost edge of Cetus. Within a region just over 5 arcminutes across, the group contains four tiny galaxies and is estimated to lie at a distance of about 200 million light-years from the Milky Way. The most prominent members are NGC 192 (HCG 7A) and NGC 201 (HCG 7C), both barred spiral galaxies with apparent sizes of a little over 2 arcminutes and magnitudes between 12 and 13.
Numbers with 3 digits represent NGC #
