This multi-flame picture shows you the progress of total lunar eclipse on Oct 8, 2014. Although the Moon was often covered with clouds, it was fine during the first half of total eclipse. I could observe the event about 70% of all the progress.
This time the Moon passed northern part of the Earth shadow, so you can see that the eclipsed Moon looks brighter in its northern part when the Moon was eclipsed at maximum (an image taken at 19:55). Especially I could hardly recognize the southern part of eclipsed Moon through the view finder of camera, I got the impression that this lunar eclipse was fairly dark one compared with normal eclipse.
