This multi-flame picture shows you the progress of total lunar eclipse on Dec 10, 2011. Although the Moon was covered with thin clouds when partial eclipse started, it was perfectly fine before the total eclipse. I could enjoy almost whole progress of the lunar eclipse under extraordinary good conditioned skies.
This time the Moon passed near southern edge of the Earth shadow, so you can see that the eclipsed Moon looks brighter in its southern part when the Moon was eclipsed at maximum. (an image taken at 23:28)
